VOLONTÉ CZECH - basic information

Volonté Czech is a non-profit organization formed in 2000 by transformation of the Foundation Volonté, which was registered in 1994. Since 2001, Volonté has focused on development education and international development co-operation. Volonte’s aim is to disseminate the ideas and principles of voluntary work in the Czech Republic and engage volunteers in international development co-operation.

Activities

• To train, recruit and mobilize the Czech volunteers and local development agents for international relief and democratization processes;
• To implement training in the area of development co-operation and education;
• To prepare and implement bilateral development projects financed by the Czech Republic;
• To carry out study tours and research in the area of international development co-operation.

Among Volonte’s partners belong FoRS, the University of Palacký, the Development Centre-Institute for International Relations, the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other NGOs.
